Abstract: A 6 page paper which presents an overview of the Prairie style of Frank Lloyd Wright. This particular style, which Wright implemented in the early part of the 1900s, was a style unique in that it incorporated the structure of the prairie landscape, that which was flat and endless, into the design of the houses he built. It was, and is, a very simplistic design style which serves to illustrate yet another aspect of Wright's concern with incorporating the organic natural surroundings into his buildings. A brief description of Prairie style is illustrated, along with descriptions of two of his Prairie style houses, the Coonley House and the May House. Bibliography lists 6 sources.
