Gulf Corporation Council (GCC): Crime Law And Capital Punishment

Abstract: 4 pages in length. The six GCC countries strive to cultivate and uphold the tenets of human rights and in doing so have no reservations about seeking the death penalty for those who transgress against others. The extent to which Sharia (Islamic) law governs this position on capital punishment is both grand and far-reaching; that such crimes as terrorist activity are punishable by death speaks to a collective of nations that takes seriously its governing responsibilities toward achieving greater respect for human rights. Bibliography lists 3 sources.
