Abstract: 3 pages in length. Intangible and vague, defining the notion of love has long been - and forever will be - out of reach of man's capacity to identify. There are just as many explanations as there are philosophers who have tried to explain it; its esoteric quality does not lend itself to a pinpoint understanding, yet this does not stop those like Freud and Nietzsche from asserting their respective theories hold the answer.
