Ethics In Counseling Psychology

Abstract: 7 pages in length. Maintaining ethical fortitude in counseling psychology serves as the foundation of any reputable therapist; without a fundamental basis of ethics, the pledge one takes to help those in crisis holds no credibility. Ethical codes, principles and standards exist to guide counselors throughout their careers so they can readily maintain both a sound and reliable reputation within the industry. The absence of such moral directives would leave far too much decision-making to the interpretive options of each individual. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
