Furniture/Desk and Chair

Abstract: An 11 page research paper. History shows that furniture, its design, role and utility, and the way in which people interpret interior appointments is interwoven both with the trends and skills of a particular historical era, but also with the symbolic experiential relationship that people associate with specific items. The following examination of this aspect of furniture history looks specifically at two categories, chairs and desks. Bibliography lists 9 sources.
