Abstract: The novelist, poet and chemist Primo Levi wrote and talked about his experiences as a prisoner in a Nazi concentration camp in Auschwitz, Poland, during WW II. Levi, was found dead at the bottom of four flights of stairs at his apartment complex in Turin, Italy, in 1987. Many believe that he committed suicide and that the motive for such an act grew out of his Auschwitz experiences. This 5 page paper argues that his death was a direct result of the year he spent in the death camp, albeit forty years later. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
