Are the Coalition Winning the War in Iraq?

Abstract: This 28 page paper looks at the war in Iraq and the position in December 2006. The paper starts with background that demonstrated the political complexities of the area and considers why the US lead occupation may be resisted, using ideas of culture clash and the religious concept as Jihad to which explain why this maybe occurring. The paper then makes use of fatality and injury statistics to assess if the coalition are winning or loosing the war in Iraq. This includes the use of regression analysis.
