Abstract: This 28 page paper is a proposal including lengthy in-depth literature review to assess the different influences on the government provision of healthcare in African nations. The paper proposes the study of South Africa, Botswana and Burkina Faso in order to examine the correlation between female healthcare policies and factors such as the participation of women in the political system and the level of economic development.
