Costs and Benefits for Poland and the Czech Republic of Full Integration into the European Union

Abstract: This 20 page report discusses both the cost and the benefits for Poland and the Czech Republic as the fully integrate into the EU. Concerns have been raised by those nations that are already EU members as to the costs associated with the full integration of not only the Czech Republic and Poland but the other East European nations wishing to become part of the EU. On the part of the individual nations of Poland and the Czech Republic, there are also concerns about the process, particularly the apparent foot-dragging attitude of the other members.
