Abstract: A 3 page paper discussing the 2005 failure of a draft constitution to pass in a national referendum. The draft constitution addressed several issues including women's roles in the government and economy, but many activists for women's rights claimed that the draft was not specific enough and contained the potential for extensive abuse.
