Israel and Palestinian Settlements in Gaza

Abstract: In 2005 Aral Sharon unilaterally withdrew Jewish settlements from the mainly Palestinian Gaza strip. This was welcomed by the Palestinians, but it was also undertaken with no negotiations and many Jewish settlers argued they had the right to stay.
