Why the Franco-Germany Alliance No Longer Functions Effectively

Abstract: In the years following the Second World War France and Germany forged a political friendship which was sealed with the Elysee Treaty and helped create the foundation for the current European Union. This 8 page paper considers why this alliance is not long effective. The paper looks at events external to France and Germany as well as the different internal and external political developments.
