Abstract: A 5 page book report on Michael Hogan's The Marshall Plan: America, Britain and the Reconstruction of Western Europe 1947-1952, which is a rich and detailed study of how the Marshall Plan evolved, was implemented and met the vast majority of its goals. Hogan feels that the Marshall Plan was the most successful peacetime foreign policy carried out by the US during the twentieth century. The $12 billion package of postwar European aid succeeded in creating a stronger, multinational Europe. No additional sources cited.
