Joan of Arc

Abstract: An 8 page overview of the life and accomplishments of Joan of Arc, the young girl who led France to victory in their hundred-year war against the English but ultimately burned on the stake for heresy. The author of this paper emphasizes the fact that what we know of Joan of Arc largely comes from testimony which was delivered under oath in her trial, a fact which makes her claims of divine inspiration and of hearing voices which directed her toward her many accomplishments considerably more plausible. Bibliography lists 10 sources.
