Abstract: 3 pages in length. Considered to be an imperialist propagandist, Friedrich Fabri's Bedarf Deutschland Der Kolonien? (Does German Need Colonies?) spelled certain rivalry between Germany and Great Britain due to its argument in support of colonial markets, new investment areas and surplus population outlets. This well-received piece of literary work gave rise to a call for political, social, economic and military strength inherent to colonization, inasmuch as Fabri readily compares the benefits of Great Britain's colonizing efforts as compared to the virtually nonexistent presence of German settlements.
