The Idea of the Fold in Female Space and Time as Reflected in the Fold Theory and the Visual Arts

Abstract: This is a 10 page paper discussing the fold theory and the female body in time and space and the arts. Over the course of history the concept of woman has varied from being something biological which is manipulated by man, to something that is not having space but being space. Within the concept of space and time, the idea of the fold introduced new theories which postulated that time and space were not continuous but actually folded over on themselves. The concept of the fold and looking back at oneself was taken into feminist theory as one perception of women
