The Future of Graphic Arts

Abstract: This 32 page paper consider the way that graphics may develop in the future. This study is undertaken by looking at the way this art has developed in the past. Starting at the beginning of modern graphic art at the beginning of the twentieth century, the writer considers the manner of development, and also considers more modern graphic artists such as Paul Rand. Issues such as technology and modern inspiration are also discussed as is the role of the internet. The role of the artist themselves is also considered, with both the threats and the opportunities they will face in the future. The bibliography cites 29 sources.
