Abstract: 6 pages in length. Plato's contributions to the contemporary political world are both grand and far-reaching; however, the manner by which he approached his own style of leadership has been considered significantly more totalitarian than democratic in nature. Indeed, the student who examines Plato's political stance as it relates to governing the masses, it will become quite clear that he not only supported and upheld the notion of totalitarianism, but he also demanded certain segregated activities to take place as a means by which to clearly demarcate the ruling class.
