Abstract: (5 pp) The date of Columbus landing on the Americas will probably always be stuck in my head due to some little ditty of childhood, "In 1492, Columbus sailed the ocean blue."That is about the only fact that is now agreed upon concerning Columbus and his voyages. This discussion will examine the landings of the disputed voyage, how the inhabitants were treated, and what might have been the reasons for such treatment by a supposedly civilized man, and representative of the Queen of Spain.
