Waiting for Technology at Banc One

Abstract: A 5 page paper discussing Ohio's Banc One's approach to and embracing of technology, contributing to today's necessity of it in the banking industry. The first to issue debit cards and implement ATMs, the bank sought to implement a home banking system long before the days of the Internet or even the personal computer. The paper is based on Harvard Case 9-682-091, written in 1982. It identifies the alternatives available to the bank and recommends the one seen as being the most advantageous.
