Abstract: In 6 pages, the author discusses how the art images of Virgin Mary, or Madonna have changed. There have been numerous paintings and sculptures of the Virgin Mary since the time of Christ. Some pictures of the Virgin Mary are in Bibles. There are elaborate paintings done in the styles and manners of famous artists. The Virgin Mary is seen through the eyes of the artist, and it is he/she who takes that image and puts it on canvas or in clay. The style of work also depends on the era, and the country in which the work was created. Over time, those images have changed. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
