An Interesting Blend of Democracy, Capitalism and Socialism in Western Europe

Abstract: A 7 page overview of the political face of Western Europe. Uses Great Britain and Germany as examples of democratic countries which incorporate an interesting blend of socialism into their politics and economics. Notes that there are tremendous differences even within Western Europe as to the role of the government in human welfare and economics and how these individual outlooks blend with the concept of democracy. Emphasizes that socialist systems can, and do, exist even within democracies. Bibliography lists 4 sources.
