Artful Definitions of the Minoan Society

Abstract: (6 pp). When we try to investigate the Minoan society we are immediately hampered by the lack of physical evidence. Being a costal area leads to erosion and decay just because of climate. We have some fragmentary knowledge about Minoan people, but that must be gleaned from artifacts, since little remains of written documents. Yet, it this case visual art gives us the message that the Minoans as a society were much more advanced than others of their time. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
