Student in the Court of Louis XIV

Abstract: (11 pp) Since Louis XIV was such an absoluter monarch and went out of his way to maintain that type of control, it is suggested that rather than proposing that you are a minister of the court, since those are so historically well-defined, that you establish a correspondence with one of the minister of the Council. It is suggested that -you consider establishing that correspondence with Jean-Baptiste Colbert, Mazarin's former secretary (Mazarin ruled with Louis mother until the young king declared his supremacy at age 23). As you will see Colbert was very ahead of his times, and also included a large number of his own family with his businesses. You could know one of the family members and make your acquaintance with Colbert that way. Bibliography lists 5 sources.
