Abstract: A 5 page paper discussing three different perspectives of Vincent Van Gogh. The first addresses the self-portrait, titled 'Self-Portrait with a Straw Hat,' and how his personal life was evident in the painting. The second perspective is also based on the same self-portrait but addresses how earlier art influenced this piece. The last section, and the largest, illustrates why people saw Van Gogh as insane.
