Debate: Evidence and Perception

Abstract: A 10 page discussion of the importance of debate. Illuminates the importance of debate in both political and non-political environments. Discussed the many forms of debate ranging from informal to formal and is components including affirmative constructive, negative constructive, interactive, rebuttal, and rebuttal: interactive. Concludes that the ultimate impact of debate on the target audience is directly dependent on these forms as it is on the skill of the debaters themselves, the amount and types of evidence which are presented, presentation, credibility, likeability, image, and exposure.
