Queen Elizabeth I

Abstract: A 12 page paper. Born of Anne Boleyn and Henry VIII, Elizabeth's childhood was not what one would anticipate for a future Queen of England. This paper provides a biographical sketch of this great queen beginning with her birth in 1533 and ending with her death in 1603. During most of her reign, Elizabeth contended with intermittent conspiracies to oust her from the throne. Still, she prevailed and brought numerous advances to England, while maintaining a more peaceful world presence than predecessors. She also fostered the golden age of English literature and is immortalized in writings. Bibliography lists 7 sources.
