Abstract: This 10 page report discusses the French system of government in which the Prime Minister and the President represent different political affiliations. France is not unique among European nations in terms of the attitudes engendered by cohabitation. Concerns revolving around the ability of the government to effectively cooperate within its multiple agencies and departments should be carefully examined, as should resulting international relationships and partnering.
