Abstract: This 15 page paper looks at all the things women did to help during World War I. The emphasis is on American women, but women of other countries are discussed as well. Information about the Nurse Corps and the Army overseas operators is included. The changing role of the woman, as a result and as a parallel to the war, is discussed. Bibliography lists 14 sources.
