Constantine's Influences on Rome's Future

Abstract: A 3 page paper discussing the accomplishments of the first Roman emperor to have converted to Christianity. Constantine was able to gain control of the entire Roman empire and unify it, end the persecution of Christians, and make important administrative changes that continue even today. It was Constantine who instituted the principles of separation of civil and military authority, and it was his conversion and subsequent activity that lay the foundation for a Christian medieval Europe.
